It’s not a spot-on reprise of what you just said, but it strikes a chord with the “Nature is in the country, and Cities don’t have it” sentiments of your piece. I shared it with the Liam in my life (main character’s name), and we found it to be a compelling book, in its simplicity and in its fantasy.

The Beatles were my introduction and ending of my music knowledge. Of course I was in love with Paul as all teenage girls were. He and I were going to spend the rest of ours lives together touring the world with music. Then came Linda. OH NO TELL ME ITS NOT SO. I
still loved all their music but they were the end of my radio listening. To this day I don’t listen to music, Linda McCartney ruined my music life. But 69 tell me it aint’t so. When my grandson was here this summer he noticed my vinyls and asked why my cd’s were so big. I’ll join you in that drink of Geritol.

Hello Terry–After years of reading your stuff this is the firt time I’ve been to this site. As a fan of yours I remain convnced that you should take all your gems and put them in a book. You are, in your own way, “Americana” with some keen insight an a great sense of unique humor. I’d buy a copy!

Top 5 things to complain about in nursing homes:
1. The aides don’t com when you ring them.
2. The coffee is always cold.
3. Even if you are compos mentis, you have no autonomy, get no respect, and are addressed as though you were mentally defective.
4.People misrepresent what you say, and no one believes you because you are old.
5. The turnove in personnel is so frequent that your attendants do not know about your particular needs, so the same mistakes are made over and over, even if they are dangerous to you.

I also have 5 ways to get along comfortably in nursing homes.

Hilarious, Terry!

Having tried magnetic insoles from the Nikkan Co i can say that they seem to have over-acted for me – i can only wear them occasionally. They feel good when i do though, and not everyone would have the same experience with them.

Perhaps anyone’s reaction depends on which metals their systems are riddled with or if they’re prone to consuming steel magnolias on a regular basis.
